OK, all college students lie, even us proud UD students. We stay up until the crack of dawn sitting on our porches and sleep all day — of course with a few classes in between. We love to listen to our music a little too loud and most likely our weekend starts on Thursday.
Whether we pretend to be angelic or fully admit to our demons, here are a few little lies I’m sure we’re all guilty of…
1. I’m only going to take a 20-minute nap.
2. Yeah, Mom, Tim’s (Bar and Grille) is one of my close friends.
3. I will definitely start this homework assignment early.
4. I’m doing all my laundry tomorrow.
5. I only go to the Student Neighborhood for study groups.
6. I learned so much in my CAP classes.
7. Just one more episode of Netflix.
8. I’m not going to be late to class again.
9. We’ll hit the Rec Plex tomorrow.
10. No really, I love the UDSecure wifi.
11. I won’t skip any classes.
12. I’ll just have a Marycrest monster cookie on special occasions.
13. I’ll camp out in “Club Roesch” tonight and finish all my work.
14. This class is going to be really interesting.
15. I will only eat out one time this week — wait did I hear they opened another restaurant on Brown Street?!
16. Just one cup of coffee from the Blend today — does the Heritage Coffeehouse count?
17. I will take notes in this class even if the professor shares the PowerPoint.
18. Yeah Mom, I've never taken anything out of the back of a stranger's car... (Well maybe Cousin Vinny's Pizza...)
19. I’ll pack my backpack the night before, so I won’t be in a rush tomorrow morning.
20. *insert freshman year dorm name here* was the best place to live freshman year.
21. I’ll walk up the stairs in Kettering Labs to get my steps.
22. The nun dolls aren’t that creepy — Just kidding that’s a real lie. I’m never going to the library now.
SOOOO… we have all caught ourselves in these little traps, but college students are the best. We always have the best intentions, but naps are just always calling our names. The UD fam is one of the best family's because we love our lovely blue chapel and sharing our Flyer pride. Community will always be our motto and the doors will always be held, because who couldn’t love UD?
