The Libertarian Revolution

During this election season we have seen many things happen, such as Donald Trump become the Republican nomination, Hillary Clinton being found not guilty by the FBI and another email sent saying the DNC was rigging the primaries to help out Hillary, to the rise of the #feelthebern movement. Now with November only 4 months away a new movement is starting, The Libertarian Revolution. When former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson started his campaign no one thought he stood a chance. At most maybe he would get 2-3% of the vote. Now recently thanks to the fact that America has to choose between two evils, people are realizing “hey we got this guy right here”. Johnson is picking up ground. He is polling at 13 percent overall in the nation. All he needs is 15% and Donald and Hillary will have to deal with Gary Johnson at the debates. Imagine Hillary and Donald just trying to belittle each other and Gary would just be focused on the issues. In this election he is the only candidate who knows what he is talking about. In fact, he is the most qualified candidate severing two terms as governor of New Mexico.

This movement is not going to be a wasted vote for the Libertarians as more voters are starting to see that Gary is an option America can get behind. He is polling at the mid 20’s in 3 states one of them being New Mexico. If these numbers improve he may stand a chance to win 3 states, something that a third party candidate hasn’t done since Teddy Roosevelt did in the election of 1912. And with winning states, that will end the two party system in America and now bring the light of a new party to voters. However, this revolution cannot die down. We need everyone to pitch in. Let your voice be heard this November. Don’t throw your vote away with Trump or Clinton, send a message to the two party system by helping fuel the Libertarian Revolution.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
