Dear Mom,
Thanks for being the greatest person I know. Your warm and kind heart has given so much back to others. You always think of others before yourself and you are constantly looking out for your family and friends. You have always provided a shoulder to cry on when they face hardships, you've given them physical gifts as well whether it be flowers or chocolates for any occasion. Your kindness has helped me become a better person over the years. You have made me more sincere, compassionate and giving.
Thank you for being so strong. I know you didn't have the easiest or best childhood, but you always tried to provide one for your kids. Even your present day isn't the greatest right now, but you always try to put on a smile and still be there for your family. You have always provided for others despite your own problems, but we ask you now to let us take care of you. Thank you for giving us the strength to get through such difficult times.
Thank you for always supporting your family. We're are so lucky to have someone who is so understanding. You never tried to push us into doing things we didn't want to do. You never forced us into college or pursuing some job that we didn't want to do. All you asked is that your children grow up and are able to support themselves.
You have always supported our desires whether it be me with sports, or Nick with music. You have always used everything in your power to help us achieve our dreams. You have never once doubted or judged your children, despite the many awkward/weird phases we both went through.
You always supported me and my crazy love for animals. We got our first dog when i was four because you saw how much I loved them. You also allowed me to get a cat and then another dog after our first has passed away. You also supported me getting hamsters, a lizard and fish because you understood it. You weren't even surprised when I said I wanted to change my planned major to become a veterinarian instead. Thank you for always being there for and understanding us.
Thank you for being my best friend. I cherish the days we spend together whether it be baking, lounging, or shopping until we drop. I love how much fun we have together, we're always laughing and being dorks. I love all the ugly pictures and videos we take together and how excited you were when I got us matching space cat shirts. Thank you for being my lifelong friend.
Thank you for being you. The wonderful woman you are has helped me grow into a formidable woman as well as Nick becoming a man. You have helped us mature quickly and made us just as kind as you are. I am lucky to have a mother as great as you are. I promise you some day I will pay you back for all of the wonderful things you have provided me with over the years. Thank you for everything.
