A Letter to Someone I Love

Someone once said, “Never give up on anyone that you can’t go a day without thinking about” and if that doesn’t describe how I feel about you, I don’t know what does. We definitely had our ups and downs getting to the point that we are at now but in the end, it’s only made us stronger. Never would I have imagined falling in love at the age of 19. Never would I have imagined falling more in love every day for the past two years. But it happened

There are a million and one reasons why I love you and I could go on for years but I will only list a few. I love you for the way you look when you first wake up. I love you for the times that you don’t think I’m looking and you dance to your favorite songs. I love you for the way that you give everything in what you do. I love you for when you sing. I love you for making fun of me and the crazy shit I do.

I love you for watching a million games with me. I love you for thinking people are as crazy as I think they are. I love you for when you make up the lyrics to a song or make up your own songs with some pretty kick ass lyrics. I love you for being an amazing cook. I love you for your (sometimes brutal) honesty. I love that you bring the fun side of me out while still encouraging me to be “me.” I love that you call me grandma. I love you for opening up to me. I love you for when you laugh at me and I love you for your amazing smile.

I want you to know that I’m forever appreciative of how you are with me. Thank you for loving me even when I’m cranky. Thank you for loving me when I want to sit around and talk about my hopes and dreams. Thank you for supporting me in all my hopes and dreams. Thank you for always managing to put a smile on my face.

Thank you for reminding me of what really matters in life and for putting myself first. Thank you for teaching me a lot about myself and what it means to love wholeheartedly without holding back. Thank you for teaching me to go for it and not care about what other people think. Thank you for taking those annoying couple pictures with me and not complaining too much about it. Thank you for hearing me complain about anything and everything.

I know I may be difficult at times. I know I get upset at stupid things. But know that I love you. Every morning I wake up and think how of how lucky I am to know you. How lucky I am that you are mine. You’ve given me a lifetime worth of memories. I look forward to the many more that we will make together.
