Mr. Trump,

We are a country of progress. We are built on the foundation of equality and freedom. That is not what you represent.

You are a rich, white (personally, I think you look like a Cheeto, but that's just me), straight, cisgendered businessman. By winning this election, you have gotten away with speaking of sexual abuse, you have gotten away with saying you'd sleep with your daughter, you have gotten away with calling Mexicans rapists and criminals, and so many more painful things. You have never suffered at the hands of inequality and lack of freedoms and rights because of your skin color, sexual orientation, or gender.

I never have either, to be honest. I'm a middle-class, white, straight, cisgendered woman, but that doesn't mean I can't feel for those that have suffered. This country is diverse. I have grown up around Hispanics, Muslims, African Americans, homosexuals, and transgendered people. I have created relationships with them and lived my life on the premise that they all deserve what I have. But you don't seem to think so. Why is that? America is an equal opportunity for everyone, isn't it?

Maybe you won't be able to hurt them while you're in office (because let's be real, even though republicans have the House and the Senate, some of them still despise you), but it's not the physical outcome that I'm afraid of. It's the fact that we, as a country, have stepped back so far to elect someone like you.

And you won this election fair and square, I won't argue that, but I have never seen so many people afraid for their lives than I am now. Somehow, you won the electoral votes, but not the popular votes. You said it yourself:

But I guess you aren't complaining now, are you?

Regardless, we, as Americans, has to face the facts - you're our next president. Some of us hate you, and are afraid, which is completely warranted. We should be terrified. So many of the awful, demeaning, racist things you've said have left us unsure of where we stand.

Some of us are excited and happy for this radical change, and that's okay too. Not everyone that voted for you even believes in every little thing you've said (just like not everyone that voted for Clinton believes in everything she said).

In the end, we are all humans, Mr. Trump. Nobody is a lesser being because of something we can't control whether that be our sexual orientation, gender, or skin color. We're all equals. Keep that in mind.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
