Dear Unexpected Best Friends,
When I first met the two of you, I didn't think we would ever be as close as we are. Looking at our friendship now, though, I question how I have made it this far without you. We have become so close, and I value you both very much. As we grow closer, I get more and more excited for what the future holds for us.
While the start of the friendship may have been a tad rocky, and I may have never thought I would be friends with either of you, I am glad I am. As we bonded through ruining a dorm room together, going on adventures to West Chester and everything in between, I saw us having potential as friends.
Our friendship started out bumpy with a few hurdles to jump, but we ended up conquering everything that was thrown our way. We talked it out, saw each other through a few mental breakdowns, gave one another support and eventually became sisters.
I am glad we have had the opportunity to create memories like our MDW trip to Wildwood and our many nights at parties. I hope we can continue to take beach trips and maybe even make it a yearly thing. As the summer rapidly goes by and we plan to live together next year, I want to thank you in advance. Thank you for dealing with my bad attitude about going to my 2-4 chemistry lab and for making me go. Thank you for being completely honest if I don't look up to par, or if I should lay off the tots from the caf. Thank you for having sleepovers with me, even though our rooms are two feet away from each other. Thank you for picking me to be your roommate, and thank you for letting me be your unexpected best friend too.
Besides saying a thank you, I feel like you should know that I am really glad I can call you both my best friends. I'm glad we have a group chat that I can get an honest opinion out of you at any waking moment. I'm glad we keep our snap streak going, no matter how busy we may be. I'm glad we can send ugly pictures to each other and not judge one another. I'm glad I can be open with you both.
I can not wait for the upcoming years of living together. I hope the memories keep rolling in, and I hope 2A turns out to be the best apartment around (I mean obviously it will be, but, ya know, we can't be too confident). I am also hopeful that we can be life-long friends and attempt to keep our wild traditions going. Hopefully IU can handle us all together. So here is to the Triple Threat as we look to these next three years and create more memories.
Love always,
Your Unexpected Best Friend
