Here we are. Our senior year and I’m extremely thrilled, scared shitless, and everything in between. If my senior year has made me realize anything, it’s how important you three are to me and the value you have in my life. This letter is written to you.
I would first like to thank you for allowing me to look forward to coming home every single day. I sit in class and wait for it to end just so I can come home and hangout with you guys. Thank you for lying on the couch with me for hours and sometimes for the whole entire day. I wouldn’t want to be lazy or extremely hungover with anyone else in this whole world. Thank you for being absolutely insane with me and accepting me for all my weird quirks and habits. Thank you for allowing me to take a stupid amount of pictures and not getting mad when I post them and for always taking on drunken nights with me even when you’re too tired to. Thank you for being my constant support, lunch buddy, Dunkin’ Donuts date, my voice of reason, and the absolute best partners in crime. Thank you for bringing so much joy and laughter into my life and allowing me to sleep in your beds when I’m feeling sad or a tad bit too drunk.
I also want you to know how much you will be missed. I always knew I would graduate college at some point, even if it took me five years to do it. But what I didn’t know was the bond that we would all create that makes leaving college and the time we spent together extremely difficult. I am nervous about finding a job and about my future, but to be honest, the thing that scares me the most in life is experiencing everyday life without you by my side. You are my family when my biological ones live hours away. You are my laughter in the early mornings when we all reminisce about the night before, the ones I leave cute notes around the apartment for, and most importantly, my absolute best friends. The sadness about graduating and not seeing one another every day is heartbreaking, but I’m quickly overwhelmed with love and joy knowing that I’m friends with the absolute best group of girls I could ever imagine.
Now before we graduate, let’s make senior year the best year yet! We should go out even when we are too tired or when it’s not in our best interest. We should take way too many trips to Taco Bell than we already do. When we buy "Pitch Perfect 2," let’s watch it at least twice a week so we can memorize all the songs in the movie. Let’s wrestle all the time and laugh so hard our stomachs hurt. I want to do everything and anything during our senior year, and I want it to be filled with so many laughs, awkward moments, cute pictures, endless amounts of champagne, and a lot of yummy food.
So here’s a toast to our senior year and to a lifetime of happiness with the world’s most fabulous group of girls I get to call my roommates and best friends.
XOXO,
Your College Roommate
