Throughout the course of your life it has become very hard to find someone that understands you. Everyone has someone; nobody is alone. Your person is someone who understands you when you don’t make any sense, someone who helps you stand on your own two feet when you cannot. Luckily aside from my best friends growing up I have found three amazing people that have become, my people.
Dear People,
First and foremost, I know you have been waiting for this letter for quiet some time now but I wanted it to be perfect. I hope it was worth the wait. I really don’t take the time to thank you all enough for all that you do, so here goes nothing.
Thank you for being there when I need you.
Whether it’s to discuss that latest gossip or because I’m having a bad day none of you are ever failing on me.
Thanks for telling me how it is when I need you to.
Everyone is mistaken from time to time. You always know how to clear my vision and shoot my in the right direction when I can’t see vividly for myself.
Thanks for always being hungry.
If there’s one thing I love in this world, it’s food. We all share that characteristic. Thanks for eating unreasonable amounts of food with me without judgment.
Thank you for NEVER judging me.
We all have different minds and points of view; we wouldn’t be human if we didn’t. Thank you for never judging the decisions I make when you would have done differently.
Thank you for the laughter.
Individually we all have our humor but together is what makes me laugh most. Between Chloe’s “dancing,” Emily’s contagious laugh, and Alyssa’s slightly corny but funny joke I don’t know how I haven’t peed my pants of laughter yet.
Thanks for never being distant.
Regardless of how often we see each other because of our conflicting schedules thanks for never forgetting about me, for always reaching out.
Again, Thank you for always being here for me.
I really can’t thank you all enough. You have been here through the darkest times to the brightest times. Thanks for making sure I eat when I’m upset or stressed and for reminding me who I am when I don’t have the strength to recognize it myself.
I don’t know what I would do without out you all. Thanks for making life a little less boring and a lot more fun.
Love always,
Your Person
