To The Woman Who's The Lorelai To My Rory

I hope we can grow old together, and have the same relationship that the Gilmore Girls do.

Dear Mom,

Who knew life would be this hard? Surely not I, but my worries are minimal because I know that I have such an amazing woman like you by my side to help me through this wretched journey.

I do not know what I would do or who I would be if I did not have you to keep me sane and love me unconditionally. You do things I can never even imagine having the strength to accomplish and you inspire me to be a better person day in and day out. You have done it all, without one complaint and despite all of the minor setbacks and bumps in the road we have stumbled upon, you still have the drive to wake up every morning and keep on fighting, and for that I applaud you.

You have been playing the roles of both parents for the past eighteen years and I would not want it any other way. Thank you for accepting me for who I am and loving me despite all of my flaws and issues. Thank you for showing me that it is okay to be different and no matter what, I am important in this world. I have never looked up to someone as much as I look up to you, and I know that you will always be my role model.

I cannot wait until the day that we grow old and become like Lorelai and Rory, the best of friends, doing everything together and never leaving each other's sides no matter what life throws at us. Watching season after season of our favorites shows together and eating Chinese food out of the carton is what I hope we will be doing even when I have kids of my own someday, and they get you to call their amazing grandmother.

I hope we can walk down the streets together, just like they do in Stars Hollow and wave to everyone we know, and look at each other and laugh at their remarks about how they always thought we were sisters, not mother and daughter. I hope we can be those crazy cat ladies just like Babette and make a name for ourselves in whatever town we end up.

I can not wait until the day that I meet my Jess and you meet your Luke and we go on endless adventures together, because I know that day will come, whether it be soon or in many years down the road. We can sit in the little diner and drink our cups of coffee and chat about our lives, because you know even when we grow older I will still tell you everything, sometimes more than I probably should!

You and I will impress the rest of the town folk with our creative minds and impactful marks just like we always do, and we will do it in style, just like Rory and Lorelai. We might make a few people mad with how close we or how obnoxious our laughs can be, but they are just jealous of the magical bond we have created because you are more than my mother, you are my best friend. You are the Lorelai to my Rory, and together we can conquer the world, with our very own Richard and Emily to help us along the way, that being Nana and Papa of course.

Thank you, mom, from the bottom of my heart for being my biggest fan and my worst enemy at times, and most importantly, loving me with all of your heart.

I love you to the moon and back, forever and a day,

Xoxo, your favorite (and only) daughter

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
