You guys know who you are,
It's funny. Throughout my life, I have met and became friends with so many people. A few have come and gone, others are on their way out, and some are still new friendships on the verge of blossoming. However, I have realized that the only true friends I have ever had and have stuck with me since day one were my friends at home. Of course, this does not mean that I have not met other true friends from other places because I have, but a large number of my true friends are from home; you guys.
One reason is obvious, we have gone to school and known each other ever since we were little. From elementary school, middle school, and to high school, we have experienced each other grow up, along with all the special moments and times of struggle and heartache that come along with it. The awkward moments when we all met, struggling in classes together, going out to the movie's every Tuesday night, attending Prom together and always fighting about who did not pay for the party bus, congratulating each other on awards, cheering each other on at sporting games, being happy for one another for new relationships, crying with one another during breakups, and spending endless hours together during the summer. I think that it's safe to say that knowing each other for years has provided us with a better understanding of one another, in ways that other people would never fully comprehend themselves.
Believe it or not, you guys have helped shaped me into the person that I am today. Before meeting all of you, I was more of a quiet kid; someone who was always afraid of what others thought about me and did whatever I could to try and fit in. However, this all changed as soon as I met you guys. Each of you individually helped show me that I do not have to pretend to be someone that I'm not because there are people out there who will love you for you. I also broke out of my shell and became more outgoing, crazy, and funny (sometimes still very debatable). I owe you all the world because I would not be who I am today if I never met any of you.
All in all, I want to say thank you. Thank you for always having my back, even when I can be annoying, dramatic, lame or obnoxious. Thank you for being there for me in times of heartache when I needed people the most. Thank you for always making me laugh. Thank you for making me stressed out and keeping me on my toes. Thank you for being some of the weirdest and craziest people I have ever met. Thank you for always sticking up for me. Thank you for constantly blowing up my phone due to our group chat and causing me to not pay attention in class because I am more concerned about the pointless conversations we are having. Thank you for always including me in everything. Thank you for always making me feel wanted and welcomed. Thank you for always being there for me, not matter what. Lastly, thank you for the countless amazing memories that we have had, and I look forward to creating many more with all of you in the future.
Thank you for changing my life for the better.
Love Always,
Your forever friend
