Dear Freshman Roomie,
It's been a while since we lived in a 10x10 box together and I've been missing it a lot lately. As luxurious as our big girl apartments may seem some days, we sure did have plenty of good times.
It's hard to believe we were complete strangers up until move in day (unless befriending you on Facebook counts). We took awkward ~~~omg best roomie pics~~~ and we even showed up to a T-shirt night in cute clothes. We were the definition of clueless to say the least.
You consoled me when I was having my 3rd mental breakdown of the week or even if I was just crying because my heart couldn't handle the betrayal that was "Gossip Girl." You let me steal your Paw Points when I ran out mid-semester. You encouraged studying over partying but didn't judge me when I was hungover until 2 p.m. You enjoyed my taste in music. You went to Cold Stone with me at 11 p.m. multiple times because I begged you tirelessly. You were my DD too many times to count and I will forever be indebted to you.
I had always heard that you probably won't be besties with your freshman roommate, especially if they're a random. That couldn't be more opposite of what happened to us. So thank you for that.
Thank you for contributing to the perfection I call freshman year. I swear I've calmed down since then. I make good decisions now! You'd be so proud.
You were my family. And you still are. Even though I don't see you every single day, you will always be, by far, one of the most important people I have met in college.
Thank you for being the smiling face I came home to everyday. I will forever appreciate you.
Love,
Your Forever Freshman Roommate
