To My Most Dependable Friend:
Coffee, you have saved my life on countless occasions. You have provided me the strength, energy, and ability to finish countless papers and listen to countless lectures. You have provided me comfort when sad, stressed or feeling alone. There is a sense of home and familiarity whenever you are around. Whether it be our time spent at Starbucks, Dunkin, or a quaint café, you are there for me whenever I am feeling down. No matter the occasion, you drop everything to save the day whenever necessary. You even have a way about you that brings people together. You get along with all my friends and have made my relationships with each and every one of them stronger.
To The Most Adaptable Thing I Know:
Coffee, you provide comfort in various forms of the hold and cold variety. Sometimes you can be sweet or you can be bitter, but even when bitter, you provide sanctity. Sometimes you even allow my head the break from the caffeine by coming in the decaf variety. I don't even have to leave my home to revel in the comfort you provide. When I want to spend extra special time with you, I can take a good book and go to my local barista, where they prepare you for our date. They combine you with steamed milk and delicious chocolate syrup; when I am lucky, they even make you extra handsome by decorating you with a heart, flower or leaf.
Coffee, I can honestly say I cannot get enough of you. I am addicted to you. So addicted that without being able to see you every day, I get a throbbing headache, and the only thing that can subside the pain is you. Now, my doctor would recommend I see you less, that it is not healthy to have a relationship like we do, but I can't let go. I love you too much to be able to let you go. I need you in my life. You provide me with so much joy by simply just being there. Your presence and your smell are just comforting in and of itself. Sometimes they say love can be painful, and I am willing to face the pain if it means continuing our relationship.
My love, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for bringing a smile to my face every day. I couldn't imagine my life without you and I hope I never have to. Who knows, if this works out, maybe one day I can be Mrs. Coffee.
Sincerely,
The Future Mrs. Coffee
