It's been two years since I have been able to walk the roads that take to me to some of my favorite buildings on the camp grounds. I haven't been to the Chalet, the Adirondack Room, the ropes course, or the dining hall in two whole years.
Thinking back on it now these buildings hold some of my favorite memories that I have had in eighteen years of living. These memories hold such a special place in my heart because it was during these moments that I was the happiest. As I step foot on these camp grounds I have the biggest smile and the fullest heart because I am finally at my second home again.
Thank you for providing me with happiness even if it was only for a weekend. The happiest days of my life have been spent at Double H because i've been able to meet some amazing people who care about me and make my life a better place because they are in it.
Thank you for showing me how volunteering can change someone's life. The volunteers I have met here have made my life so much better and made me want to volunteer which I am doing this weekend and are the reason I come back to this place every year that I can. They are so incredible and all have a different story to tell that inspires so many people without even knowing it. I am so lucky to call so many of my friends who I can not talk to for months but as we are back at this beautiful place we are able to catch up and it is like no time has passed at all.
Thank you to the staff at Double H for letting organizations like Cindy's Comfort Camp and many others use your facilities for weekend activities. You are some of the most amazing people who give so much to many people and it is so wonderful so once again thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you to the children that I will meet this weekend, have met in the past and will meet in the future because you are the reason I come back every year. You all have such beautiful souls and make my life and many others lives so much brighter because you are in them.
Thank you lastly to god for putting this beautiful place in my life because it has made it so much better since it came into my life in 2010. It's my favorite place in the whole wide world that helps me forget about all my worries and just have a blast for the time that I am there. I am forever grateful to have come across this beautiful place.
