Hey y'all,
So you know that group that everyone knows? The group that people know when they see one they are going to see all seven of you? The group people don't try to become really good friends with because they know "no new friends" (inside joke).
Well that was me and my friends throughout college. I met these crazy, loving, and unpredictable girls second semester of my freshman year. It was one of those things where you needed a new roommate and kind of knew someone from high school and thought why not? Well, little did I know that she had an amazing group of friends that would later be my best friends.
Whenever I am feeling down, need advise, or just simply want to talk I know I can count on these girls whether is 5 o'clock in the evening or 2 in the morning, someone is always awake. And if you're not, well you will be because we have a group text that is never ending. I am serious, put seven girls in a iPhone group chat and see when it stops. Hint: it doesn't. But that is what I love about it.
Fast forward to four years later, we are about to graduate, I cannot believe it. We go to school in Indiana and parting ways is not going to be easy. I am moving to Tennessee, three of the girls are from Indiana, and the other three live in the Chicago area. I have spent almost everyday, literally, with these girls and in eight short months everything will change.
Although I'm sad about leaving everyone it gives me a chance to look back on the last four years of my life. Everyone says college is the best years of your life, and it is completely true. College has given me my future bridesmaids, best friends, and people I can count on, even if we are states away.
I can't thank these girls enough for simply being them. People think we are crazy, but that is why I love them. I look back and recount the nights in Warren Hall (our dorm) and all the shenanigans, friendsgiving every year, camping, everyone turning twenty-fun, and now graduation. They say girl friends are made because one mom couldn't handle us all, well isn't that the truth. I am so blessed and thankful to have found my best friends and cannot thank UIndy enough for bringing us all together.
