Thank you for making my life more dramatic than I could have ever imagined. You made my life worthy of a reality TV show. I really do appreciate it.
Most days (basically everyday) I didn't care when you ignored me when I spoke to you, or when you shot me some serious side eye. Or when you talked behind my back. Or when you spread awful rumors about me. But some days I did care. Some days I would come home and sit on my floor with my dog and cry. Some days I'd feel like no one liked me when no one stood up for me. Some days I wouldn't want to go to school because of you. But that was only some days. Most days I was fine.
Most days I would be confident in who I was as a person. Slowly but surely I began to realize, because of you, that not everyone was going to like me, and that was ok. Through you I learned that some days are worse than others, but there are more good days than there are bad. Through you I learned what it means when Christ asks us to love our enemies and how to turn the other cheek. (And wow is that hard.) Most days I tried to love you, but some days I didn't. And I'm so sorry I didn't. I'm sorry I sometimes shot back at you. I truly am.
Through you, I also learned how to love myself. It takes a lot of confidence to walk into a room and be completely yourself when you know someone present wants you to fail. It may have taken me awhile to learn this kind of confidence, but I did. Now I'm able to walk into a room and vocalize my opinions no matter who else is listening. And I'd like to thank you for helping me to develop this kind of courage. It's one of the things all my family and friends compliment me on, so thank you for helping my confidence to become even stronger.
I also wanted to take a moment to thank you. You also taught me patience, self-control, and how to forgive someone who isn't sorry. It took me years to figure out that last one, but with God's help I've finally gotten the hang of it. Thank you for helping me realize how strong I can be.
Lastly, I sincerely hope you're doing well. I'm sure I won't get an invite to your future wedding but I hope you find happiness and love because you deserve it. I hope you find ways to build people up in the future, friends who are always there for you (because those friends are the best), and I hope you can learn to walk with Christ throughout your life. Hey, maybe we'll meet again in the future and things will end differently.
