A Letter To My Big As I Become A Big

You will not be forgotten.

A Letter To My Big As I Become A Big
Catherine LaPenta

Dear Biggie,

How could I ever forget you?

This past year has been full of your constant love. I have been spoiled beyond compare. You have been with me through the highs and lows, even if that calls for you just sitting with me as I cry. You go out of your way to make my day the best it can possibly be. I am forever thankful for you.

Even if I received 10,000 littles, I could never forget you. You mean more to me than you will ever know. Every day, I am confident that you will always care about me, even on the days that you feel like you're not being the best you can be. Don't ever feel like you aren't doing enough for me. Trust me, you have done so much and more already!

I cannot imagine my life without you. I am so blessed to have you as a friend. You challenge me, and bring out the best in me. You remind me of my significance. You support me and my decisions. You are one of the biggest reasons why I love college. For so long, I prayed for a great community, and the Lord did just that when he paired us together. With that, I am confident that this friendship won't just be for our college years, but for life.

I will ALWAYS make time for just you and me. You will not be left in the dust. You will always be included in every little thing my little and I do. You are just as much my little's grand-big as I am her big. There is no way I could forget someone as significant as you.

As I become a big, I want nothing more than to love my little the same way you have loved me. You have set the bar so high, and that is a challenge I am so excited to accept. Although I may pale in comparison to you as a big, at least my little will have the most wonderful grand-big! I can only hope that this time next year, she will be saying the same about me as I am saying about you.

Thank you biggie. You are loved!

With much love,

Your Little

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
