To my little brother,
I guess you're not so "little" considering you're 6"2' and twice my size. I cannot believe how old you are. It's like just yesterday we were playing on our swingset in the backyard, and walking home from the pool everyday in the summer. Although, when we were younger, we didn't get along so well, I still loved and cherished the funny moments we had together.
I want to thank you for being the best little brother a sister could ask for. As we've matured, we've grown closer and I'm thankful for that. Every night you'd always come in my room and watch "How I Met Your Mother" with me. We'd laugh, talk about our day, and tell each other exciting things that happened. And now that I'm in college, and I don't wake you up for school in the morning, it's always exciting to see your face when I come home.
On occasion, we do still act like we are eight and seven again. We start to call each other ridiculous names, and we get tired of one another. We might even have a huge argument that will go on for the rest of the day, but at the end of each night we forget about it and we act like the best siblings on the planet—because we are!
You trust me with your biggest secrets and I couldn't be more thankful for that bond of trust between us. You also know my deepest secrets, you know everything about me! Even though you don't have that choice.
There are sometimes where you act as if you were my older brother. Where you protect me from inconsiderate guys, and take matters into your own hands. Where you tell me your honest opinion and you don't feel sorry for hurting my feelings. Where after a long day, or a heartbreak you give me the biggest hug, a shoulder to cry on, and an "It's OK. It will be alright." in the end. Reassuring me that, not only will things be OK, but I have a caring brother who only wants the best for me.
As your older sister, I want you to know that I am here for you, too. I will always have the best interest for you in my heart. As your older sister, I also try to set the best example for you, and give you some great advice. I am so proud of all of your accomplishments, and it will take you far in life. From your good grades, to your caring heart, I can tell you have a bright future—so don't ruin it! Also, know that, no matter what, I'll stick beside you through it all. We've got each others backs and I couldn't be happier to have you by my side. I love you so much, and that will never change.
P.S. Sorry for the cheesy and emotional letter, but you know me!
Love,
The most amazing sister in the whole world.
