Dear Mom,
Thank you. Thank you for being my number one fan, and always cheering me on to be the best I could be. Thank you for holding me when I cry and for always reminding me that tomorrow will be a better day. You have been my rock through breakups, life decisions and new chapters. Thank you for being my best friend, and for loving me unconditionally. Thank you for carrying me through life even when I was convinced that I didn't have the strength to go on. Thank you for always reminding me to love myself before loving someone else, and that I will always find happiness no matter where i am or who i am with.
Thank you for believing in me. All I want in life is to make you proud. Thank you for understanding when I couldn't pass that one class, or when I got a few bad grades. Knowing that I am leaving for college next year is scary, and I will probably cry more than you will, but I will always be your little girl no matter what.
We laugh so hard that we cry over the dumbest things, but it is little moments like those that mean so much to me. Not only do you guide me through life, but you also give me the perfect image of what to look up to. You let me know that it is OK to cry. You let me know that life will be tough sometimes, but I will always come out stronger in the end. Thank you.
I hope I never dissapoint you. There is nothing else in this world that I want more than to make you proud. I hate when I let you down, mostly because you have always lifted me up. You help me see beauty in this cruel world. Thank you for everything that you have done for me, and everything that you will do for me.
There is nothing like the bond of a mother and daughter. Even when life gets busy, just know that I will always have time for you, mom. I hope you understand that I will always need you.
Lastly, Mom, I want to tell you that I am sorry. I am sorry for all the times that I have let you down, for the times that I have fought with you and for the times I chose friends and other things over you. Sometimes, I tend to lose sight over things that are the most important to me. You truly mean so much to me and I don't express it enough. I want you to know that no matter where this crazy world takes me, you will always be the most important person in my life. Thank you for all of the laughter, the smiles, the lesson, and for letting me know that I will always have somebody who loves me, flaws and all.
All in all, I love you to death, Mom. You are my entire world, whether you know that or not. Thank you for being everything to me, always.
Love,
Alyssa.
