Dear Siblings,
I know that I don't say it enough, but thank you for being the best siblings that I could have asked for. Thank you for being my role models, my mentors, and my greatest treasures. I appreciate the support that each one of you has given me through every milestone of my life. Even with a wide age gap, I continue to feel a strong friendship between us and I will always cherish the closeness that we have as a family.
As teenagers, you all were probably more than shocked when mom told you that she was having twins, but, as siblings, you loved us unconditionally and were very involved in our lives as we grew up. You were there for my first birthday, Christmas, and every family celebration. I see old videos of us when I was a toddler playing and teaching me lessons that you didn't realize that you were teaching me.
Thank you for listening to me when I needed a friend and being at every event that you could while balancing college and a career for yourself. You supported every decision that I made and when I didn't make good decisions, you help bring light to my mistakes. I grew from that.
Thank you for going on college visits with me when mom and dad couldn't go, for letting me use your violin and following your legacy as a passionate violinist, and for telling me how gorgeous my prom dress was, even if it wasn't your own style. You loved that I loved it.
You introduced me to new people and to my brother-in-laws who I have come to know and absolutely love. They are the perfect fit for our crazy, quirky family and I couldn't ask for better brothers. They make me a better person and have supported me since the day that I met them. Thank you for bringing them into my life.
Thank you for being there during my first heartbreak, taking me to dinner, writing me cards, and always listening even when I was a hysterical mess. Those moments were more important to me than you will ever know.
Thank you for raising my nephews and nieces to be sweet, hilarious, and adventurous individuals who continue to make me laugh until I cry and give me wet, sloppy kisses that I will never get tired of. I cannot wait to watch them succeed in their lives because they have amazing parents (and nana) that will guide them on the path to becoming the best individuals possible.
Thank you for always giving me a place to stay, watching multiple episodes of our favorite show, and networking to help me become a successful individual. Thank you for being the person who I will always look up to, no matter how old I am. Without your love and support, I would not be the person who I am today.
Sincerely,
Your Little Sister
