My rock, my backbone, and my best friend.

An Open Letter To My Mom
Brianna MacDonald

Dear Momma,

First of all, let me start with I love you so much. You have always been the biggest supporter in my life. I want to thank you for everything you do for me. Everybody talks about how leaving home is the best thing and I use to think that myself. But now that I'm away and haven't seen you in I don't know how long.. I'm starting to think differently. We use to have not so good of a relationship for awhile, but now we have the best relationship. I'd be so lost if I didn't have you as my biggest supporter and my backbone.

I know I don't appreciate you enough and I know I'm a pain in the butt half the time, but I really am so thankful to have you as my Momma. People say that we look so much alike, but we are alike in every way possible. I'm your baby twin and I couldn't be happier. I love you more than anything and I just want you to know that. I know being a single mom at the beginning was hard, but I'm so glad you have Jenny by your side now. I'm not only thankful for you, but her too. You both are seriously the best and I'm literally so lucky.

I don't tell you much, but I love you more than words can describe. Thank you for everything you do for me and always supporting me even if you don't agree half the time. Me being successful in life is because of you. Because all I want to do is to make you happy. Being so far away makes me miss the little things we did, especially our talks. The holidays look brighter and family time is more serious to me now. Thank you again for all you do. I love you so much, Momma.

Sincerely,

Your daughter that has realized how much she needs her Momma.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
