At this point, you are still growing each and everyday in your mommy's tummy. But before we know it, you will be welcomed into the world to begin this beautiful mess that we call life. My emotions are all over the place as I patiently wait for March 15th, 2017, your due date, to arrive. Here are some thoughts I have been having since the minute I found out about you.
I love you. You still have about six months left in your mother's tummy and my love for you is already immense. The only thing that will change about this is that my love for you will grow each and everyday that I spend with you. I cannot wait until the moment I hold you in my arms to experience love on a level that I have never experienced before. I can already tell that you will be the love of my life.
You will have the world's best parents. (Besides mine of course ;)) Your mommy and daddy are two outstanding individuals. The list of phenomenal qualities, including those of a good parent, that they each share is endless. I have no doubt in my mind that they will do their absolute best in raising you to be healthy and well rounded.
I am looking forward to watching you grow. This will be so precious to me to be able to be there for each milestone of your life. I may be a few hours away at school and not be able to physically be with you, but I cannot wait to get the phone call that you started crawling or that you lost your first tooth. It is the little things like that in which will be heart warming to hear about. Beyond the early stages of growth will be just as heart warming as well, but I don't want to rush your life so we will cherish the baby steps first. But believe me, I will do my all to be there during each milestone in your life such as your first day of kindergarten or your high school graduation.
You will always have a best friend. And that will be me. I hope to not only be your aunt, but also someone to look up to and someone to be a friend. I'm going to strive to set good examples for you and be a teacher in your life, but I also want to be someone who you can feel comfortable talking to about anything and everything. So basically, I hope to be that "cool aunt!"
The world is yours, little one. I want you to live each day to the fullest and make the most out of your entire life. I don't want you to have to regret a single thing when you are looking back on your past. Life is short, but you can put a lot into it if you follow your dreams and pursue the life you want to live.
Last, but not least, you have a beautiful guardian angel. It is exceptionally unfortunate, but your Grandpa Hahn, the father of your dad and I, will not physically be here in your life. Life isn't fair that way. One day you will get the chance to meet this amazing man, but before then, always remember that you have an astonishing angel watching over you everyday of your life.
Love forever and ever,
Aunt Bailie
