It is not easy living in a world with relationships, but it is important to have them. Many friendships come to an end, but there are also many friendships that were made to last a lifetime. I do not know how long these friendships will last, but here is a letter to the awesome people I met this year.

Dear Friends,

You guys are awesome. You may not know this, but I care about you all so very much! I am proud to claim you all in my life. There are specifically seven, but I love you all the same. You have given me the ability to rise up and trust you.

Friend number one: you are the kind of person that makes me laugh. I love spending time with you. Thank you for letting me know that I can be myself around you. You are the kind of person who brings the playful personality into any life event. I love your quirky talents and ability to encourage me to be better. I love you!

Friend number two: I am really glad that I met you, but there are some things that make me sad. Our friendship seems to be crumbling, but I can not judge you for it. Just know I love you so much, even your sarcastic attributes. It is what completes your personality and I would not change it for anything.

Friend number three: You are the one that keeps everything chill. Nasty food does not bother you and you always have a smile on your face. I love how you can be so studious and play video games at the same time. Your personality is amazing and your laugh can make anyone giggle.

Friend number four: we did not click very well at first, but I am glad we settled our differences. You are so funny, when you are not being sassy. You make me laugh sometimes when we watch movies or if someone does something idiotic.

Friend number five: It is crazy how we are friends. You enjoy super weird things, but I love them all. The fact that you bought a clear lock to learn how to pick a lock makes you one of the coolest people ever. I love how you are so wise and drink tea a whole lot.

Friend number six: "You are honest and true, there is no one else as wonderful as you!" Sound familiar? Let me just say I am so blessed to have you in my life. You are funny, sassy, and maybe a little bit protective, but that is what I love about you. The fact that you can make me laugh, put me in my place, and even convince me to go to the doctor proves how corpulent your heart is for me. I love you!

Friend number seven: You are the loud yell in the morning, but the knight in shining armor in the end. The fact that you are into sports and even participate in some of them make you pretty cool. I appreciate your ability to play music and find fun things to do on the weekend. I am honored that you take the time out of your day to hang out with me. Love ya bro!

Though you guys are so great, there is one thing that you all have in common; your relationships with God are amazing. I love how we can rise up together on our Christian walk. I also enjoy having people to socialize with at tea time and worship together in chapel. Never change who you are. Once again I love you all!!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
