From friend-terventions to guac every night, you lovely ladies made boarding school home. I survived because of you seven. I just wanted to thank you guys for being the most amazing group of girls and for being the best friends possible.
Thank you to the loud-mouth who will always be the most loyal friend. Thank you for completing 3D puzzles with me. Thank you for making me participate in the Slip’n Slide during freshman year. Thank you for all of your support and for being the friend who I knew would defend me. Thank you for the alien abduction movies. There is no one who I’d rather yell at a boy for than you.
Thank you to the most awkwardly preppy girl who came during sophomore year. Thank you for thinking that I was three different people during the first week of school and thank you for your tights, cardigans, and flats that defined sophomore year. Thank you for sitting outside by a pool and eating quinoa while I had a mental breakdown. Thank you for being the worst driver, but also for being the most welcoming person. Thank you for all of the chips, guac, and Aloe drinks.
Thank you to the girl who will probably become a family member. Thank you for coming on family vacations and only ordering a salad at dinner. Thank you for snapchatting my little brother and sister. Thank you for always showing me the other side of my opinions and thank you for having the most entertaining stories of your daily life. Thank you for refusing to go underwater and for teaching me about the photo timer.
Thank you to the chic, edgy girl who is the sole reason why I survived AP Econ. Thank you for being sassy and hilarious. Thank you for your finsta. Thank you for introducing me to the valley-girl voice. Thank you for crashing your jeep into a dumpster and breaking your back window. Thank you for sitting in my bed and listening to my issues while giving me the best advice, even if I ignored it.
Thank you to the bossy blonde who twitter fought me during sophomore year. Thank you for allowing me to write an email about broken Jack Rogers. Thank you for being nosy because it brought us closer. Thank you for understanding all of my relationship struggles. Thank you for being independent and for always sticking to your opinion. Thank you for standing up for others and for being a loyal friend.
Thank you to the funniest and liveliest girl who I have ever met. Thank you for all the choreographed dances. Thank you for the cat ears and crying over the death of Pepe. Thank you for making everyone feel special and loved. Thank you for wanting to plan dinner at 8:00 a.m. and thank you for rushing back to the dorm to order pizza and cinnamon sticks with me. Thank you to the cutest, sweetest girl who I have ever met. Thank you for going to freshmen orientation on the same day as me, even though we didn’t plan to. Thank you for being the most energetic and for always trying to lighten the mood. Thank you for stealing everyone’s food during freshman year. Thank you for always being happy and animated. Thank you for being my first friend at boarding school.
Overall, I am thankful for the seven of you and I can't imagine surviving boarding school with anyone else. Thank you for all of the jokes, the multiple group chats, and the constant support that I felt. I am not one for nostalgia, but thank you for making high school worth missing.
