When I first got to school, I didn’t want to rush because I was worried that I wouldn’t find anywhere I fit in, or anyone I could call a close friend. And as cheesy and cliché as it sounds, you changed all that for me. I could never explain how much it means to me to have you as my big. There are a million things I need to thank you for, but here are just a few.

Thank you for being someone I can always count on.

Whether I need a ride home after a long night, a study partner before finals week, a movie night, or a partner for a food run, you’re always there. Thank you for never ditching me or making me feel unimportant, and always being down to just hang out, no matter what we want to do. I didn’t know if I would find a friend like that in college, but here you are and I couldn’t be more thankful!

Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

The random dance parties, my love for watching movies, and also my love for just laying on your couch and hanging out while you’re trying to do homework. It’s normal for you to see me at my weirdest moments, and you’ve seen me at my best and my worst. Thank you for accepting that I don’t always want to go out, but always being there with me when I do. I promise to always accept you and be there for you no matter what, always.

Thank you for being my best friend.

It’s crazy to me that I haven’t known you my whole life, because now I can’t imagine my life without you in it! I’ve told you things that I haven’t ever told anyone, and we’ve shared both some struggles and a lot of happy moments! Big/Little week was one of the best weeks of my freshman year, and I have you to thank for that. No matter what happens, when I find my little, or when we move away, I always know that I will have you as my best friend, big sister, and so much more.

Most importantly, thank you for choosing me.

I will never forget our first BWW (Buffalo Wild Wings) date before big/little, and after when we sat in the car and talked for at least an hour outside of the dorm before you dropped me off. I knew right then that I wanted you to be my big, and that I was lucky to have someone like you as my friend. When that curtain dropped and I found out I was your little, I could not have been more excited. Our friendship has only grown since then, and I have to thank you for wanting me as your little as much as I wanted you to be my big!

Thank you for everything you have done for me and everything you will do. I have been so blessed to get to know you, and even more so to be you’re little. I dread the day that you leave me, but I am so thankful for our friendship that I know will last a lifetime, and I can’t wait to be standing next to you on your wedding day (and visa versa). I love you, Biggie!
