Dear Best Friend,

My BFF, bestie, sister, BFFL, whatever you want to call it that's what you are to me, my best friend. We have a bond that simply cannot be broken and that I will always appreciate. We can go months without seeing each other and when we do it is like we were never apart. There's no one else I could, nor want to, call my best friend.

I know you're my best friend because our friendship is effortless; there's no need to make big plans together because even just hanging out and talking in fun enough. I don't think we've ever run out of conversations and I don't think we ever will. Being able to turn even the most minuscule subjects into a lively conversation.

Sometimes I'm convinced that our minds are one in the same. Once in a while hearing you say things that I've only ever heard in my own minds. Our common interests keep our lives constantly intertwined. After over a decade of friendship we know each other like the back of our hands.

Though we are very similar, were also compactly different. I think this is what keeps us so close. We compliment each other, being complete opposites in a lot of aspects of life. Sometimes our difference of opinions can get in the way but we can never stay mad at each other for more than a few hours.

Thank you for being my other half. Thank you for always sticking by me. Thank you for constantly making me laugh. Thank you for being you. Day in and Day out I know you're the one I can rely on. When I'm feeling down you're the one to pick me up, but in the same respect when I'm feeling a little too big for my britches you rightfully know be down a few notches.

I would honestly trust you with my life, and I'm so fortunate that you are the frick my frack.

Love always,

Your Best Friend

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
