To The Best Friend I Don't Talk To Often

Dear Best Friend,

I know we haven't spoken in a while and that's OK. Sometimes, as we grow up we grow apart from those that we were once super close to. Even though our lives are hectic, and we don't see or speak to each other often, I want you to know a few things.

I appreciate you being there for me during my awkward middle school days. You were one of the first friends I made, and you made me feel so welcome and safe. I miss sharing the stage with you in all of our high school musicals (no pun intended).

I thank you for supporting my decision to move away after high school to a big city in order to chase my Broadway dreams. Also for picking me back up when my life shifted, and I had to move back home.

You welcomed me into your family as one of your own, at times when my family was falling apart.

I miss our endless laughs and all the inside jokes that we created that never get old.

I thank you for helping me survive the next day after a night of hardcore partying, to making breakfast for dinner, watching "Master Chef" and for being the best roommate ever.

I appreciate you for helping me grow into the person that I am today and for loving and accepting me for who I am, not what society wants me to be. It's because of you that I learned to love myself and embrace the person that I am.

We spent a lot of time together and have memories to last a lifetime. From middle school to college to adulthood, you've always been there.

I appreciate you for being you and not caring what everyone else thinks. Our lives may have gone in different directions, but I am always rooting for you on the sidelines. I miss you, best friend, and I'll always be here for you!

Love,

Your Best Friend

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
