The day I graduated I was so excited to leave my town and venture out into the "real" world. I promised myself that I would never come back unless I had to. Why come back to a town that has a population of one plus minus one? My town was the kind of place where kids swore they would never come back here but yet they always tended to.
My small Texas town has way more to offer than just a pit stop on a road trip. It's filled with the most loving and gracious people where friends become family and everybody knows everybody. It's the place where you don't go into the local grocery store and not say hi to anybody, where the kids have to run home to ask their parents if they were related to their crush.
Thank you to the teachers, for never completely losing it on us. For always having your classroom and home doors ope for us, even though we sometimes thought we disliked you it was always just the work we hated. Thank you for supporting us in everything we do, from participating in the kiss a pig contests to curving our test grades because you understand that even high school life gets hectic. The teachers at West Sabine our by far one of the best things about Pineland, from painting their bald head orange just to pump up the spirit to getting to school 2 hours early for tutoring, they always help as much as they can.
Thank you to our law enforcement, you guys never fail to be there when we need you the most. Thank you for supporting all of the activities that go on through the whole community, for being at every school function and treating the fellow people of Pineland like your own family. We honestly couldn't ask for a better law enforcement.
To the volunteer fire department, thank you for always saving the day when a bad wreck or fire happens. For always making the last day of senior years for the current seniors their favorite day. Thank you for volunteering your time to protect the people you love.
Thank you to people of Pineland, for loving every kid like your own, always coming together in time of need, and making Pineland the way it is. The people of any town are what makes the whole community itself unique. So once again, thank you for bringing a smile to my face whenever I cross the county line
