College. Some of the best memories you will have are made in college. Many of those memories are made when you live on campus. But it does not just stop at memories. Living on campus is a whirlwind of emotions, some you didn't know could even exist towards people you had just met three months prior. For me personally, living on campus has made it hard to go home. Don't get me wrong I love coming home and seeing my family. But living on campus, with multiple roommates has allowed me to create a bond with those girls that I never knew could exist.
We were inseparable, if it was possible for all three of us to go somewhere together, then we went. Dinner was always around five or six every night, followed by a Worst Cooks in America marathon. Those nights are the nights the most incredible memories were made, over the simplest of things too! That is why I always ask, is it time to go back yet? Honestly, I can't wait to move back to school, and continue those dinner and marathon nights, and let's not forget the Bingo nights at the student union!
Sure, moving back and forth is a pain in the butt. You have to pack, strategically place things in the car, load up the excess things your remember last minute, drive, check in, and the finally move everything back into your room. But its all worth it, it is so worth it. Knowing that you get to go back to living with your best friends, if you say that moving is a pain in the but and not worth it simply because it is a lot of work, then you are crazy.
One of the second best things about moving back to school, you get to set up your own schedule. Like I said before, I love being home and seeing my family, but after being on my own schedule for a majority of the year, it makes it extremely difficult to readjust to being back on a family schedule. Having your own schedule to stick to makes life so much easier. You only have you to worry about one, as opposed to three, four, or even five different schedules somehow all morphed into one.
There are so many different reasons that someone may be excited to move back to school. But if you ask me, the best two are getting to live with your best friends again and following your own schedule. But the very best reason is getting to continue making memories through campus events, Netflix marathons, 'family' dinners at the campus dinning hall, and at Bingo night. What ever the reason all i know is that for the next 32 days all I am going to be asking is, 'Is it time to go back yet?'
