Being an adult can be hard and not always as fulfilling as we thought it would be when we were small. When we were children we thought that being an adult looked fun and we could not wait to grow up. But here I am in my final year of college putting a down payment on a condo and all I want is to go back. Go back to the days when it was easy, when you could just play and not have to worry about bills or hard assignments, or even worry about other people...like your significant other and their family.
You never realize how hard it really is being an adult because when you are a kid everything is taken care of for you and you do not realize how much work goes into all that you have. As adults you worry about the people around you and you are ever more aware of people growing up and growing old around you. You grow apart from your family and become more of an individual. You learn to rely on your own skills and your own problem solving abilities and relying less on your parents. But even that can be stressful because sometimes you want to go back to asking your parents what you should do. You know they have been through similar situations and they can give you well oiled advice where as you might make mistakes.
But people say mistakes are how you learn and how you are able to get to where you are wise. Sometimes as an adult I just want to be told what I should do and have someone there to guide me. Life is unpredictable but if we had a guide maybe it would be a little easier. I mean that is what we had as children; our teachers, parents, and family members helping us in all manner of ways. Now is the stressful times they call adulthood where we have to figure out how to get a job and provide for ourselves.
This is probably why a lot of us during college end up eating ramen and spending a good bit of time watching Netflix. Because first we are not used to having time to ourselves where we aren't aware of our assignments and second we do not tend to have a ton of money lying around so we go for the ramen that is super cheap. But hey, this is just my rant on how hard it is to be an adult and how I kind of wish I could go back to the time I was a child where I did not have to make these choices.
