20 Lessons 'Pretty Little Liars' Taught Us
Netflix Life

Let's face it, like it or not, after six seasons of "Pretty Little Liars," we are all in the doll house with the liars. Which means that we all know that "Pretty Little Liars" is full of life lessons, once you get past all of the mystery, who killed who, and trying to figure out who is A this week. Here are a few of my favorites pearls of wisdom from the show and its characters.

1. The liars taught us how to insult people in a classy way, without calling them mean names.

They also taught us the perfect comebacks.

2. All of the liars taught us to always have our friend's back.

In fact, this lesson is one of the main themes throughout the show. As a friend, it's your job to do whatever it takes for them, no matter if you have to lie to her boyfriend for her, prove she is not dead or save her from a crazy lunatic who is trying to kill her. You just have to be there.

3. Caleb the cutie pie taught us that it's not important to know exactly what to say and when, but rather to know what questions you should ask.

I don't know about you but I would listen to any advice he gave me, I mean look at that face!

4. Spencer, the smarty pants, taught us that not everything is relevant in a conversation, and when it's not, we can't be afraid to say that.

5. Ezria taught us that love is worth fighting for, and to never give up on the person of your dreams.

6. They also taught us that it's easier to walk away from what you want when the going get's tough, but that doesn't mean you should give up, instead you should fight for what you want.

7. Ezra was full of life lessons, but this one happens to be my favorite.

8. They taught us to never apologize for being yourself, or doing what makes you happy. They showed us that its easy to be someone else.

Just look at Allie (Vivian Darkbloom) and Charlotte (Cece Drake)! However, just becaus it's not easy to be yourself doesn't mean that you shouldn't be, because at the end of the day the people who are genuinely themselves go farther than those who pretend to be someone or something they aren't.

9. Emily taught us that we are all a little selfish, even when we don't want to admit it.

10. Aria's mom was much like a typical mom, full of advice, but this one was one of the best. She taught us that you can't play with other people's emotions.

11. Hanna showed us that sorry doesn't always fix everything, and we must think about our actions before we do them.

12. She also taught us that it's OK to cry, and that it's OK not to act like the tough girl all of the time.

13. And Spencer left us with this little tidbit of advice, which also triples as a joke and an insult.

14. Hannah taught us that you only need four things to survive: a phone, a bra, some lipstick, and some food.

15. And Aria taught us the best way to threaten any boy who wants to date your mom, or your friends.

16. While Hanna taught us the perfect way to protect ourselves: pink furry lamps will always get the job done.

17. Toby finally said what everyone else in America has been thinking.

18. Ashley Marin showed us that a real mom always has her daughters back no matter what and would do literally anything to protect her.

19. She must have taught Hannah well, because this bit of advice is whatever teenager needs to hear.

20. And finally, the most important lesson in "Pretty Little Liars" was that the Biebs is perfect, and anyone who doesn't agree just doesn't understand him.

These past six seasons in the doll house have been crazy and have been filled with many lessons that we can all relate to. I'm excited to see where season seven takes us, because once a doll, always a doll.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
