To anyone who has ever heard about Studio Ghibli, chances are it was because you had seen one of the numerous movies produced by them. With so many classics like Porco Rosso to pick from to the fan favorites such as Spirited Away, the movies have been there for you. And so, with that in mind I would like to thank Studio Ghibli for the best life lessons you can learn from their movies..

1. Never give up on yourself and the ones you love, and remember to have faith in yourself.

From the movie Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (1984)

2. Always have a dream and believe in it, even if it is something as crazy as a castle in the sky.

From the movie Laputa: Castle in the Sky (1986)

3. Don’t be afraid to grow up, and find the joy in it while you can.

From the movie My Neighbor Totoro (1988)

4. Always remember who you are and don’t take your friends for granted.

From the movie Kiki’s Delivery Service (1989)

5. The way you look on the outside is not a reflection of who you are on the inside.

From the movie Porco Rosso (1992)

6. The only constant in life is change but that doesn’t mean you can’t still be you no matter how often you change even if it is just a little bit.

From the movie Pom Poko (1994)

7. Never give up on the dreams you have set your mind to, and find what you are truly passionate about so you can do it for as long as possible.

From the movie Whisper of the Heart (1995)

8. Nature has just as much right to be here and be respected as you do, don’t take the gifts given to us by nature for granted.

From the movie Princess Mononoke (1997)

9. There is nothing wrong with being afraid, just don’t let the fear make you stop doing what you need or want.

From the movie Spirited Away (2001)

10. No matter what is going on with you, always be kind to others.

From the movie The Cat Returns (2002)

11. A heart can be a very heavy burden but it is one you should never wish away.

From the movie Howl’s Moving Castle (2004)

12. Love people no matter who they are or where they come from.

From the movie Ponyo (2008)

13. Nothing is impossible if you just put in a little hard work.

From the movie From Up on Poppy Hill (2011)

14. Understanding what one another's obsessions are can be an act of love.

From the movie The Wind Rises (2013)

As with all good books, good movies have lessons in them to teach their viewers as well. Anyone who knows or is in love with a Studio Ghibli movie can tell you that these movies are meant to be an experience, something you will wish to hold with you for a very long time afterward.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
