Dear Readers,

In my life, there has been so many crazy things that have happened to me which I eventually learned a lesson from. I think I could share quite a few stories with you. Believe it or not these are all true!

This weeks lesson is why I will never run away from home again.

When I was about five or six, I had a fight with my mom about something stupid. I think it was that I did not want to do my homework. Anyway, I was really, really mad at my mom. I was so angry that I decided to run away. I went upstairs and started to pack my bag with all of my favorite toys. My mom said nothing and tried not to laugh, even packing me a lunch. I soon made my escape out the front door and snuck around the side of the house making my way to the back yard. As I started running down the hill, I tripped and fell on the ground. I realized that my leg was stuck in a hole and the hole was expanding slowly causing my little kindergarten body to start to sink. I slowly started sinking little by little holding on to the grass for dear life. I screamed thinking that I was going to fall all of the way in and never be found. My brother, who was three years old at the time, heard my screams and found me. He thought that I was just joking with him at the time and did not believe me when I said I was sliding in. My brother eventually ran to get my mom. She didn't quite understand what she was looking at and just thought I tripped and was pouting there on the ground. When she realized she couldn't see one of my legs she totally freaked out as she saw me sinking. She soon pulled me out. The whole was so deep that my mom could not even touch the bottom of the whole with a broom stick. I was terrified and told her that I will never run away again. The next day she called the sewage company to fill in the hole that had developed over a drainage pipe. After that day, I kept my promise and never ran away again.

So kids, next time you think about running away is the answer remember that you may fall into a sink hole and never be found again.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
