Oh no. School is getting real. The papers and tests that seemed so far away are getting closer, and now we're forced to face approaching deadlines. Most of us will wake up in the library with Nutella at the corner of our mouths. We'll be dazed and a little confused, concerned with how much time has passed or when we last took a shower. In between the intense studying, we may find ourselves watching Netflix or Youtube sidebar surfing.
This Sunday, SNL celebrated its 40th anniversary. The live sketch show has made people laugh for years, and it continued to so in a three and a half hour special on Sunday. In honor of the anniversary, here are some of the underrated and some of the best of the best:
1. Debbie Downer

Rachel Dratch originated Debbie Downer, a hilarious character who manages to ruin the best of everything. I love this one so much, though, because even the actors can't ignore how funny the writing is.
2. Garth and Kat

Fred Armisen and Kristen Wiig's improvised songs are ridiculous and enjoyable, and they often appear to even surprise themselves.
3. Church Chat

One of SNL's most iconic characters, the church lady would chastise the world for their wrongdoings and give guests a piece of her mind.
4. Digital Short: Doppelganger

In a less known but bizarrely comical digital short, Andy Samberg, Will Forte, and Seth Meyers find each others' "doppelgangers" while on their lunch break.
5. Single Ladies

A change in back-up dancers messes with the dynamic of Beyonce's music video. All of us should aspire to be "hot like dance biscuits."
6. Matt Foley

This sketch produced one of the most often-quoted lines in SNL history.
