Classes beginning again is right around the corner. The months that we’ve had at home have turned into days and there is a limited amount of time to complete your summer bucket lists. Here are some things you must do before you go back to school for the fall:

1. Have a Farewell Dinner

The best way to say goodbye to your friends from home is one last dinner. Whether it is at a fancy restaurant or at your usual place one last time, both are great ways to finalize the summer.

2. Clean Your Room

There is nothing worse than coming home to an extremely messy room. Your future self will thank you for doing this when they arrive home for Thanksgiving or Winter Break.

3. Take a Hike in your Hometown/ State

Hikes are such an amazing way to appreciate the nature and beauty of an area. If you can find a trail in your hometown or somewhere in the state that you are from, it is a sure fire way to ensure you will miss the town.

4. Spend Time with the Pets

You have limited time to snuggle up with your animals. Now is the time to annoy them endlessly by never letting them leave your side. The time you spend with them now has to be enough to last you at least another three months.

5. Work Those Extra Hours

You can never go back to school with too much money. Working those extra hours means another time out or another dinner of Chipotle while you are at school. Once again, your future self will thank you for it.

6. Get Decorations for your Dorm or Apartment

It is always a good idea to start planning your living space before you get to school. This way it does not seem so overwhelming when you get there and have close to nothing for the school year.

7. Spend Time With Your Family

As much as you do not want to admit it, you will miss them and they will miss you. Make sure to spend some time with parents and siblings before you go off to college for another extended amount of time.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
