This video from Coca-Cola is one I think the world is desperate to see. No matter what age you are, no matter what religion, or what reason this was made, this is a powerful message that needs to be shared.
With all of the issues going on in the world, and all of the barriers we are creating for each other, I think this speaks volumes. Everyone is judged. Everyone judges. I am guilty of it as much as the next 21 year old girl. Yet, how much better would the world be if for a second we put those judgements aside and we actually got to know the people we labeled?
I know exactly how it feels. I’ve had more people than I can count say to me “You’re in a sorority? How are you so smart?” or even a professor call me by the name “sorority girl” and tell me that I “wouldn’t understand” just because I am in a sorority. Not to mention all of the stereotypes that come along with religion, or race, or music, like is covered in the video.
So, thank you Coke. Thank you for reminding the world that labels are for cans….not people. Let’s share this and spread the word, we can make a change. God knows the world needs one.
