If you are into makeup, I am quite sure you have heard about the Kylie Lip Kit! If you have no idea what it is or who makes it, I'll explain it to you. Kylie Jenner, daughter of Kris and Bruce Jenner, created a line of liquid lipsticks which came with a matching lip liner.

This was a great idea since people need a lip liner to match their lipsticks or they try to free hand it. There are now eight liquid lipsticks in a number of shades from nudes, pinks to a smokey purple. I was so excited and waited at my computer for the 6 p.m. launch to order mine, since the last restock sold out in five minutes... yes literally five minutes.

First Impression

The packaging was my favorite part about the product, I live for packaging! It came in a box with her name on it along with a postcard like message thanking you for purchasing her product. The shipping was very fast, I received my order from USPS in three days which is very reasonable.

The Product

I ordered the color Posie K. I attached three photos, one with flash, the other without flash and the product on. I love the smell it almost smells like marshmallows, it has a sweet smell. The application felt a little on the watery side instead of having a creamy feel. The liner in my opinion was way too light for my complexion.

I am brown-skinned, and sometimes you have to use a darker liner depending on your skin-tone. I would have preferred an option to choose a darker liner to suit my complexion. The lipstick was not the same shade as the box it ended up being lighter which I was unhappy about, I was expecting the lipstick to be a bit more on the rosy side. I would most likely not order again, mainly because the product was $29 and I received a liner I cannot use because it is not suitable for my complexion.

So is it worth the hype to me? No.
