Being a Leo, born on August 10, 1997, Kylie decided to bless her fans with a limited edition birthday collection. This collection includes a makeup bag, a new gloss, a set of six mini matte lipsticks, her very first Kyliner in Dark Bronze that comes with a gel liner and a pencil liner, two new creme shadows in Rose Gold and Copper, a new Lip Kit in 'Leo,' and a new shade of her metal liquid lipstick in 'Lord.'
The entire collection dropped today, August 1, at 3 o'clock Pacific. Five minutes into the launch, Kylie announced to her Snapchat followers that over 300,000 people were on her site trying to purchase her new collection. Like all of her new releases, this release sold out in minutes. Thankfully, Kylie is restocking her collection multiple times up until her birthday -- August 10.
You may be asking, "What makes her products so worthwhile?" Honestly, I was skeptical myself when I first heard that she came out with her own line of makeup. I thought that the products were just hyped up, and that they weren't truly worth all the recognition. After seeing a few of my dear friends buy -- I am not exaggerating -- every single shade of her matte liquid lipsticks, I knew something was up. I can truthfully say that I was wrong, and that I am on the Kylie Cosmetics train.
Her birthday collection is literally infused with real gold, and it was everything everyone was hoping for and more. One complaint is that infusing her products with real gold made the collection more expensive, but honestly, I believe that the collection is at a fair price. Not only that, but every other product she has come out with is extremely reasonable for being a high-end cosmetic. $20 for a perfect creme eye shadow? Sign me up. $17 for the perfect matte lip? Don't mind if I do.
Besides coming out with a collection that quite literally gave her fans cardiac arrest when it was showed in a sneak peek, Kylie has released multiple other products that have completely changed the world's makeup game. For example, liquid lipsticks have been a huge trend lately, but Kylie set the bar so much higher for other cosmetic companies when she launched her first Lip Kit in November 2015. Everyone was so excited that the Lip Kit sold out within the first minute of the premiere.
Since then, other makeup companies have been working hard to develop a formula for matte liquid lipsticks that can match how wonderful Kylie's is. Her matte liquid lipsticks go on smooth, and dries to a powdery finish. They have 25 percent pigment, so the colors truly pop and they literally last all day. Not only that, but most shades of her liquid lipsticks have a lip liner to match. Your lip game will forever be on point with these two products. Even her new eyeshadow palette, KyShadow, is being raved about by well-respected beauty gurus like Jaclyn Hill. I'm telling you, everyone is raving.
