Now, you may have heard of Kylie Jenner's widely known lipstick brand, Kylie Cosmetics. I love makeup as much as the next person, but I refuse to spend $50 dollars for it, so I didn't bother buying her lipsticks. Plus, I'm not a huge fan of her, and I wasn't all that interested in supplying her with more money from my pocket.
There have been numerous rumors that Kylie's line is exactly similar to the much cheaper brand, Colourpop. The colors may be a little bit off, but when it comes to the quality and colors of the lipsticks and lip liners, they're practically the same exact product.
hanging out with the owners at @colourpopcosmetics we don't have the same formula or exact colors but they are my friends and they do have some bomb ass products that I love. Check them out #KYLIECOSMETICS

If you're anything like me, even spending $60 makes you rethink the entire purchase, so I'm not a huge fan of doing it if it's not needed. So the fact that a celebrity is overcharging practically three times more than a similar product, just because their name is on the front of the box is a bit absurd to me. Now, before people start saying that other celebrities do it as well -- yes, that is very much true. A lot of popular celebrities have their own makeup lines, clothing lines, or really anything that speaks to them. But the main difference is that most of those celebrities have not faced speculation of having something similar to another product that's way cheaper.
A matte-colored lipstick from Colourpop currently runs for $6 (without tax or shipping & handling). But even if you do add in the extra costs, you're looking at $15...At the most. While Kylie's is around $50-$60 with added in tax and shipping & handling. No, thank you. If I want to pay that much money for makeup, I'll head up to Sephora or better yet, MAC, where they actually have amazing products that are sure to be one of a kind.
Sorry, Kylie, but I refuse to put any of my hard earned money in your greedy hands, no matter how many times you say how "high quality" your lipsticks are.
