All Kpop fans understand the struggle that exist, especially those international fans. Whether it be your friends and family not understanding why you listen to Kpop to begin with, or the feels that are two strong as your groups win awards and finally get recognition. Kpop fans all hop on the struggle bus at one point in time or another during their Kpop journey, some rides on the bus are worse than others. But no matter what it is always good to see that you are not the only one. So here are some struggles and things that Kpop fans can relate to.

1. Random Aegyo

Just burst out in Aegyo in front of your friends, when you want something, or in the mirror when your bored. You just can't help but to try out Gwyiomi or the confession song with the super cute Aegyo.

2. Needing all the albums

So many albums... Mini albums, full albums, special editions, singles, and concert CDs, you just want them all to try and support your favorite groups.

3. When your favorite group is in your country

Finally they are in the same country as you. It doesn't matter if they are clear across the country from you, you're just happy that they are closer and sad that you didn't get the chance to see them.

4. Slipping random Korean in your everyday speech

Korean phrases just seem to randomly start substituting for your normal speech. Nea, aniyo, arisoo, annyeongheaseyo, omo, aish, aigoo; they just seem to find their way into everyday conversation.

5. Writing Hangul in your notes instead of doodles

As lectures drone on and you occupy your time in class you sometimes find yourself writing/practicing your Hangul in the margins of your notebook instead of the doodles that used to be there before you fell in the Kpop hole.

6. When there isn't English Subs

First there is initial frustration and anger that you can't find the video you want to watch with the subtitles. Then you just resolve to watch the video and just smile and laugh like a pabo because you don't understand what they are saying.

7. You don't pick your bias

In the beginning you thought you picked your bias for each group, but as you continue to gain interest in new groups and fall into groups farther you begin to realize that your bias picks you and that those bias wreckers are just coming to make your feels hurt.

8. When you find a new group

The feels become so real, so quick. You end up just sitting there staring assessing your life and choices that have lead up to watching all of the MVs, variety shows, and music shows. Sitting there thinking I don't have anymore room in my heart, why do I do this to myself.

9. Comebacks, Debuts, and Special Stages

So many things to watch, so little time. Having to put all the little reminders on your calendar so that you can keep them all straight. Then the time comes and you aren't near wifi so you just sit there and count down in your head till you can finally watch your beautiful people.

10. Needing to watch every show your bias is on

It doesn't matter how many there are, you just want to see your bias as often as you can, and if that means you need to scan through YouTube for hours you bet you'll be there.

11. Getting pumped for a tour only to see it's nowhere close to you

International fans know the struggle so well. Getting super excited as your favorite group announces that they will be going on tour only to see that everywhere they are going is on the other side of the world.

12. Trying to learn the choreography

The Choreo in all of the MVs are just so good. You want to learn the dance so you sit there for hours analyzing the dance trying to figure out the moves and then you attempt it. Everything feels good till you realize that the grace you through you were channeling is absent and you are flapping about, breathing hard, and sit down to try and learn it all again. At least you got your cardio in.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
