Being a part of Norwalk is such an honor. Going off to college has made me realize how much I actually do appreciate the town. Living in a different town for college has its perks, but coming home to Norwalk is so heartwarming. Home is where the heart is.
1. You're known as the town that has Stew Leonard's.
Nothing is better than free sample hour, or ice cream on a hot day. The customer is always right!
2. You'd be lying if you've never seen this car around Norwalk.
Zarzan is his stage name, often spotted with a pipe and dark sunglasses! You won't miss the long gray beard and hair he hasn't cut in over 20 years.
3. You go to Calf Pasture but NEVER go swimming.
4. You've been waiting for the "mall" to open for the past 10 years.
You know what I am talking about, right by the Walgreens in Sono.
5. The McMahon vs. Norwalk High rivalry.
Nothing compares to the rush you get supporting your high school teams! The annual Thanksgiving football game is a must-go-to every year.
6. The Oyster Fest is a yearly event for you.
You look forward to September ever year.
7. You go to Post Road Diner or Penny's for a late-night meal.
A daily routine in the summer.
8. The bike guy.
Enough said.
9. My Three Sons.
Every birthday party you went to when you were younger was here. Fifty! Fifty! Fifty!
10. You go to Frosty's almost every night in the summer.
11. Memorial Day Parade.
Ever since you were a little kid you have sat in the same spot for the parade and watched all the people you knew walk by!
