Growing up in the 90s (or even just being born in the 90s), we loved when October rolled back around and we were flooded with family-friendly Halloween movies on ABC Family and the Disney Channel. We learned to love these movies not only for the magic and creature, but also for the lessons they taught us and the memories we made watching them with our families. Even when we are 18 years old in college or 25 years olf with kids of our own, these movies will have a special place in our hearts. These Halloween movies will be cherished for generation after generation.
1. "Halloweentown"
Marnie Cromwell was our girl and after watching "Halloweentown," every girl wanted to be a witch and every boy wanted to a warlock. We also have to admit that we want Sophie's power of lifting chocolate chip cookies off of the plate into our mouth with only the use of our mind.
2. "Hocus Pocus"
We all love the Sanderson sisters because of their magical spells and the catchy songs that they sing. Thackery Binx fails to save his sister Emily and is cursed by the witches to live forever as a black cat and makes the most of his curse by guarding the Sanderson House so no one will light the black flame candle. Max, Dani's older brother, in desperation to impress Alison, ignores Dani's worry and hesitation to enter the Sanderson house and lights the black-flame candle. Max thinks it is just "a bunch of Hocus Pocus," but little does he know that the witches plan on sucking all of the lives out of the children of Salem starting with his little sister. Through defeating the witches and with Thackery's help, Max realizes what his little sister means to him and Thackery is reunited at the gates of heaven with his beloved sister Emily.
3. "Casper"
4. "Casper Meets Wendy"

Casper finds friendship yet again when he goes on vacation with his three uncles. His three uncles who are ghosts that love to pull pranks, cause a lot of chaos while Casper finds friendship with Wendy. Wendy is a witch who lives with her three Aunts in hiding, because an evil warlock named Desmond Spellman wants Wendy dead after his Oracle told him that she will be the greatest witch to ever live. Wendy and Casper meet in a barn when they are trying to escape from their bossy relatives. The ghosts and the witches must put their differences aside to protect Wendy and an unexpected friendship is formed.
5. "Under Wraps"
Who doesn't love a movie about friendship, but even better -- a friendship with a mummy! Three kids find a mummy that comes alive by moonlight and name him Harold. What the kids didn't know, however, is if they don't get Harold back in his coffin before Halloween at midnight, he will cease to exist. In friendship the kids race to save Harold, and on the way Harold is reunited with another mummy with whom he is in love. This movie shows that it is what's on the inside that counts and that true friends will stay by your side no matter your appearance on the outside!
