12 Bible Verses You Need Right Now

1. John 15:18 "If the world hates you, keep in mind it hated me first." Just a reminder that if people are being particularly vindictive, this verse is here to tell you that it will be OK. God has your back and loves you even if it feels like no one else does. To go along with that one; Joshua 10:8 "Do not be afraid of them for I have given you victory over them."

2. Joel 2:13 "Return to the Lord your God, for He is merciful and compassionate, slow to anger and filled with unfailing love." If you think your actions make you unworthy, I ask you to read this bible verse again.

3. Ezekiel 36:26 "I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you." Sometimes recent events or just life in general has us feeling a down and this is a prompt to seek God in those times to lift our spirits.

4. Job 33:26 "God will receive him with joy and restore him to good standing" No matter what you do, there is nothing is too big for God's forgiveness.

5. Job 23:10 "When He tests me, I will come out as pure as gold." God is not punishing you but polishing you instead.

6. 2 Kings 20:5 "I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you" Have faith, He sees you.

7. Ecclesiastes 3:1 "For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven." If you are not on the timeline you wish you were on, its OK. There will be time to accomplish what you are meant to accomplish.

8.Deuteronomy 28:6 "Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed". Blessings can be disguised, so always keep a look out.

9. Exodus 33:14 "I will give you rest, everything will be fine for you." The storm will be over soon and you will get a break.

10. Numbers 23:19 "Has He ever promised and not carried it through?" Have patience, He will come for you, He always does. Joshua 1:5 "I will not fail you or abandon you."

11. 2 Kings 6:16 "Do not be afraid ! There are more on our side than on theirs!" Sometimes people just aren't nice people, and that's OK. The good outnumber the evil, the evil is just more noticeable.

12. Exodus 23:20 " I am sending an angel before you to protect you on your journey and lead you safely to the place I have prepared for you." You always have an angel with you to help you to where you belong. Just like blessings, sometimes they are in disguise.

Open your heart and let these verses and your interpretation of them touch your heart and lift your spirit. 1 Samuel 12:16 "Now stand here and see the great things the Lord is about to do." We are so wrapped up in life that we forget to look around us to see God and all the wonderful things He is doing for us.

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
