I've become a little addicted to make up lately. I started to notice I wasn't the only one. Make up is evolving right now and new styles are emerging. I'm certain that one of the biggest trends going on right now is a well highlighted and deeply contoured face. There's hundreds of articles out there telling you how to perfectly contour your face. But, why is make up changing right now? What makes this new idea of contouring, which isn't actually a new idea, so appealing to everyone all of a sudden?
I actually think we owe this one to the Kardashian/Jenner clan. Kimmy K and all of her sisters have been using this trick to get those perfectly sculpted faces for years. Now, I know they have also had their fair share of procedures to get their faces to what they are today, but it seems that all of them, even youngest sister Kylie, have mastered make up. They somehow can wear so much make up and never appear to have a caked face. They are master's of contouring and highlighting. In fact, Kim is always showing us her face before and after she blends her make up. No Kardashian will be found with flawed make up, that's for sure.
But wait a second, Kim just last month declared and end to her heavy contouring. Elle brings you the details in this article. So is her new trick the inside look into the next trend? I think so. A more natural face with little make up seems to be the direction we're headed. And I'm on board. I've already seen some many YouTube tutorials and articles talking about the natural look. Could Kim have started this trend? I guess we'll have to wait and see once it's more established.
Now, Kylie is also a leading lady in the changing trends of make up. We owe it to her for the increase in lipstick popularity and big, plumped up lips. Power to her for getting those big, beautiful lips and not being ashamed to go public about it. Her lip kits are one of the hottest sellers, always battling with Jeffery Star. I must say after receiving my first Kylie Lip Kit, I'm pretty hooked. They feel so good on your lips and the product smells heavenly. She's definitely the reason I've grown from having one lipstick to about twenty different shades of nude-pink. I just love her style. I know I'm not the only one because her lip kits sell out so quickly. It took me four months to get one. Everyone who knows me is aware that I love Kylie Jenner. Her style is just so fun and unique. She's such a powerful young person. So of course when she launched her lip kits I had to fight for one. Her signature look, the nude-pink lip, is all I've been searching for and Candy K was my perfect fix.
The future of make up is somewhat in these girls hands. They spark trends all the time so it's interesting to see what they'll come up with next. Other people are definitely leading their own trends as well, but I love the Kardashians so naturally they are the ones I follow. It's a known fact that these girls have an impact on the current make up and fashion trends. So far, they haven't missed a beat. I'll be looking forward to the next Kardashian/Jenner trend. Will you?
