If your Twitter feed didn't tell you enough, you probably watched MTV'S Video Music Awards (VMAs) for yourself. After accepting his award, Kanye West made an outrageous speech and announced his desire to run for president of the United States in 2020. I think he would make a great president. Here's why:
1. Kim Kardashian would be the First Lady.
Who wouldn't want Kim to be our First Lady? Her capacity to show emotion is something very rare to find. She cared so much about losing a $75,000 earring in the ocean that she cried over it. She would surely care about the citizens of America just as much.
2. We ain't messin with no (clean version) "broke broke."
Kanye's career thus far has been very successful. He has received more Grammy Awards than Jay-Z and Beyoncé. We should be proud of Kanye! He is always so grateful for his awards and supportive of other artists! Particularly, of Taylor Swift with his infamous VMA "Imma let you you finish..." speech. Kanye did the same thing to Beck Campbell at the 2015 Grammy's, "Beck needs to respect artistry. He should have given his award to Beyoncé. At this point, we tired of it.” Kanye really has a way with words. Very encouraging.
3. He is very prompt.
At last year's Tennessee musical festival, Kanye was over two hours behind schedule. It was nearly 4:30 in the morning when he finally performed on stage. The next day, musician Robert Randolph started a "Kanye sucks!" chant. It seems that the fans really love him. America will love him as well.
4. He knows how to handle national problems.
After Hurricane Katrina, Kanye was on TV for a live fundraiser! How kind of him. He had a script written for him, which he ignored. Instead Kanye went on a rampage of how the media was portraying the victims of Katrina flatly stating, "George Bush doesn't care about black people." I bet Bush will vote for him, too.
5. Kanye loves Kanye.
His confidence will further America's future. Kanye appeared on a 2006 Rolling Stones cover posing as Jesus. He even worn a crown of thorns. This was published shortly after his 2005 Grammy win for his song "Jesus Walks." Kanye defended himself, "You want me to be great, but you don't ever want me to say I'm great?" Well I think you're great, Kanye. You and your ego.
6. He is informative.
At the 2005 Live 8 concert tour, Kanye raised awareness of global poverty and AIDS claiming that AIDS was, "placed in Africa just like crack was placed in the black community." He reiterated this in his 2005 hit "Heard 'Em Say:" And I know the government administered AIDS / So I guess we just pray like the minister say. Now that Kanye will possibly be in the government, he can ask them about his conspiracy and inform the U.S. about the truth!
7. Ice Cube would vote for him.
After the VMAs, the rapper/actor told Daily Mail Australia, "Who is better than Kanye that would run?" Ice Cube is voting for Kanye and so should you!
