KAABOO: The Mix-Perience You Need To Be A Part Of This Weekend

KAABOO, the three-day "mix-perience," was created for music lovers by music lovers. This isn't your typical festival, though. It's THE adult weekend escape that you absolutely need to take.

Designed to satisfy all of your comfort needs, festival-goers can venture into KAABOO at the Del Mar Racetrack and Fairgrounds and immerse themselves in a world of diverse musical genres, artisan food, craft beers, fine wines, modern art and such much more.

You can bask in the sunny San Diego weather and enjoy music on six different stages. You can have a laugh at the humor me stage while sitting down in an enclosed air-conditioned environment. Feeling like you need to cool down and relax for a little while? You can rent a poolside (yes, poolside) cabana for the day, and relax in a sandy beach area while enjoying a cold one from an exclusive bar, all while having a direct view of the stage. Looking to treat yo' self? People will have access to massages, a blow-dry bar, facials, makeup artists and even have the opportunity to shop till they drop all at the indoor fashion, spa and relaxation zone.

But wait, it gets even better.

Festival-goers can choose from three different pass options for the weekend: Hang Ten, Hang Five and Hang Loose.

For those big spenders out there, the "Hang Ten" pass offers "meet and greets" and private performances with some of the KAABOO performers, while also getting an exclusive look at the artist experience by hanging in the Artists Lounge backstage. To top it all off, they get a welcome bag with tons of swag and goodies.

For those looking to spend a little less money than the Hang Ten pass holders, Hang Five will offer festival-goers a similar exclusive experience with a pre-KAABOO kick off party, exclusive lounges during the festival, the ability to have priority seating for comedy performances, VIP parking and a Hang Five gift bag.

If you're looking to simply "Hang Loose," then this is the weekend pass for you. Not quite as exclusive as some the other two options, but this selection will allow you to venture off and enjoy the basic offerings that KAABOO has to offer.

Apart from the passes, this year's lineup looks like it's going to be one for the books.

With legendary performers like Jimmy Buffet, Aerosmith and Lenny Kravitz, artists that will give you all the feels like Jack Johnson and Gavin Degraw, bands that will take you back to your childhood like Fall Out Boy and Third Eye Blind, iconic EDM DJ's that will make you dance all night long like Steve Aoki and Chainsmokers, and with world-class comedy acts like Dana Carvey, Sarah Silverman, Vanessa Bayer and Natasha Leggero that are guaranteed to make you laugh so hard you will cry, KAABOO's eclectic lineup this year is something you certainly don't want to miss.

if you haven't purchased your passes already, grab 'em while you can, because your KAABOO mix-perience -- aka, the best weekend of your life -- is waiting for you!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
