Why I Hate That I Like Justin Bieber

Why I Hate That I Like Justin Bieber

I am a Belieber and I hate it.

There are three things that we need to get straight. One: Justin Bieber is an asshole. Two: Justin Bieber is hot. Three: Justin Bieber's new album is gold. I hate that I find someone who can be such an asshole attractive. I hate that I love his music so much and I know I am not the only one. When I said I wanted to write about why I hate that I love Justin Bieber, these were my fellow writers' responses:

"Truer words have never been spoken tbh."

"I kind of hate him but his music is so damn catchy."

"I would hit it."

In response to above comment: "With a stick."

There is no denying the attractiveness of Justin. I mean just look at him.

Granted, he does have some issues with his hair lately. He shaves half of it one week and dyes it purple the next week. I can't keep up. If he could keep his hair like it appears in the picture above, that would be perfect. But hot damn, JB.

There is also no denying that his new album "Purpose" is his best work to date. It has a sound that we have never heard from Justin. When it came out, Justin pulled in a new generation: my generation. For a long time, it was frowned upon in my generation to like Justin because his music was aimed at younger girls. Now, his music has grown up and is growing his fan base. So now, like many others my age, I am a fan of Justin Bieber's music. The problem is that being a fan of his bothers me.

How can I enjoy being a fan of such an asshole? He has made so many mistakes in the past and has yet to redeem himself. In simpler terms: the boy does not have his shit together. He has a terrible attitude. He needs to grow up in more than just his age. He keeps coming out to the media saying he has "changed," but it doesn't show in his actions.

I have hope for him, despite all this. One day, when he gets over his broken heart from Selena, he will act mature. I would prefer for them to get back together, though. I totally ship them. When he starts acting like a functional member of society, I won't hate to say that I am in fact, a Belieber.
