Justin Bieber, like many other celebrities,
is often seen as a larger-than-life celebrity by his fans. Justin’s concerts,
music videos and his star power create this larger-than-life celebrity persona
that we all love. (Whether we want to admit it or not.) While he and many other
celebs are seen as super humans we give superficial super powers such as the ability
to get over a million likes on a picture
of anything — it could literally be a picture of a song that is playing on their phone, status too
with the amount of attention that is spent on them they do not have super
powers. Or do they? Justin Bieber just might. This past weekend, Bieber sprained
his ankle just hours before his show and posted this picture of his swollen
ankle on his Instagram profile.
The caption to this picture, which of course received over a million likes (I was one of the likers), was “Gonna be taking it easy tonight on stage sprained my ankle playing ball smh all good still gonna crush.” Despite Bieber stating his plan to take it easy at his show, he quickly recovered and did not appear to be taking it easy. Several fan videos were uploaded of his well-executed dance routines at his show, proving just how quickly he bounced back. Why is this significant? Sprained ankles are very painful and are not something that is quick to overcome. On average, the recovery time is six weeks, and the first week — especially the first day — is the hardest and most painful. But not if you are Justin Bieber. If you are Justin Bieber, you sprain your ankle and perform a dance routine hours later just like a boss.
