Justin Bieber's 'I'll Show You,' If It Were A Chapter Book

Justin Bieber's 'I'll Show You,' If It Were A Chapter Book

When you were little, did you ever read a completely pointless picture book? You know, one of those books that really doesn't have a plot? One of those books that you just picked up and skimmed through because it had pretty pictures in it? A pretty, but pointless picture book-- that's exactly what came to mind when I saw Justin Bieber's newest music video, "I'll Show You."

As a true Belieber, it's very unlike me to poke fun at Justin Bieber. But, after this music video was released, I couldn't help but laugh. While the song is good (at least, I think so), the music video might be just as pointless as Drake's "Hotline Bling" (also an avid Drake fan, but that's beside the point). If you have seen Justin Bieber's video, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. But, if you haven't seen his latest, don't worry: I can fill you in.

Here are some of the pretty pictures and lyrics from Justin's newest music video. I transformed the lyrics into chapter titles, and used the pretty pictures to create my own pretty, pointless, and plot-less picture book version of "I'll Show You."

"I'll Show You"

A tale of Justin Bieber, some of his friends, and a couple questionable decisions

Written by: Katie DeSimone

Chapter 1: "My life is a movie, and everyone's watching."

Out of nowhere, a Justin Bieber appears. He is wearing painfully tight pants and an excessively long hoodie. We're not really sure where he's going, and don't think he's too sure, either. He is walking a little funny so we hope that he's OK and won't need any medical assistance because he seems decently secluded. Despite the fact that he is alone, Justin expresses that his life is like a movie, and that everyone is watching.

Chapter 2: "So let's get to the good part and past all of the nonsense."

With questionable form, we see the wild Justin running across a plain. While he could just be running 'past all of the nonsense' and 'get[ting] to the good part', people speculate that he might be high on a recreational drug, such as ecstasy. This drug can easily be found on street corners, college campuses, or under your son/daughter's bed.

Chapter 3: "Sometimes it's hard to do the right thing."

After all that running, Justin got tired and wanted to take a shower because he was sweaty. To much dismay, Justin realized that because he was in the middle of nowhere, there was no accessible plumbing service nearby. So, Justin found the nearest river and decided to jump on in. It was very cold. Justin regretted his decision immediately. Like he said, "sometimes it's hard to do the right thing."

Chapter 4: "Life's not easy, I'm not made out of steel."

After Justin finished bathing, he thought he was lookin' pretty fresh. So, he texted the group chat he has with his friends, bros before hoes, and asked them to come through and chill. Sadly, no one ever answered Justin. Life is not easy when you text the group chat and no one answers.

Chapter 5: "Don't forget that I'm human, don't forget that I'm real."

Well, Justin didn't meet up with his friends. So, he ran around a little bit more, heel-clicked periodically, and decided to take up skateboarding. After he was done, he went back onto the top of the mountain. He realized why his friends hadn't answered his text: they didn't support his latest tattoo. Justin went to get a tattoo a few weeks ago, and texted his friends, wanting to know what they thought of it. All of them voted 'no' for the tattoo, but Justin got the tattoo anyway. His friends feel as if Justin doesn't value their opinions. Justin feels as if his friends forget that he's human and forget that he's real.

Chapter 6: "I've got to learn things, got to learn them the hard way. Got to see what it feels like, no matter what they say."

Justin doesn't want to be on bad terms with his friends, so he texts them: "Guys, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings by getting the tattoo. It was just so freakin' dope, I couldn't say no. If you guys wanna hang, I'm out in the plains, 'boutta roll around on some rocky patches. " His friends respond, "Justin, that's the dumbest idea ever. You're gonna hurt yourself if you roll around." Justin answers, "How do you know? I gotta learn things on my own man, the hard way. I gotta see what it feels like, no matter what you guys say."

Chapter 7: "Act like you know me, but you never will. There's one thing I know for sure, I'll show you."

OK, now Justin is pissed!! His friends shouldn't be telling him how to live his life! So, Justin is going to swim in some ice-cold water that could possibly freeze him to death. But, who cares, right? The point is, he is proving to his friends that no one runs Justin's life except Justin!

It's as if Justin's life is a movie, and his 'friends' are the critics. Justin just wants to get past all of this nonsense, but sometimes it's hard to always make the right decision. He has to learn things on his own. Life is not easy, and Justin is only human. Don't you dare forget that he's real!!!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
