Parisian electro duo Justice is back with a new single, "Randy." The group has also teased a new LP, possibly titled Woman. It would be their first record since 2011's Audio, Video, Disco.
"Randy" is a follow up to Justice's first single in five years, "Safe and Sound," which was released back in July. It's a psychedelic, synth-y song reminiscent of the same 70s disco feel from the band's best known hit, "D.A.N.C.E."
In addition to reimagined disco, "Randy" features lush synths and guitar. There are a few theatrical shifts in the six minute track, making it intriguing from start to finish. The subtle references to previous Justice music has led some to speculate that duo's potential third LP will be a combination of Audio, Video, Disco and Cross. Personally, I can imagine a far worse blending!
The artwork included with the audio video of "Randy" may be an indication of the future album artwork on the upcoming record. It's an iridescent oil slick flowing over a cross. I can't wait to hear what the French duo does next and if their next record will indeed be called Woman.
