10 Reasons I Just Can't Wait To Get Back To College

We'd never thought about how much we'd want to go back to school.

In April and in May, we were all excited to finally go home for the summer, packing up all our things. But we'd never thought about how much we'd want to go back to school. And these are some of the things that are driving me insane waiting to go back to school.

1.Being back with my people

I live between two to four hours away from my friends from school, and I just can't wait to see all of them. We get to be with each other whenever we want and when we need each other.

2. Having food walking distance

I feel horrible for admitting this, but I miss PorkSky. I miss being able to walk out of my dorm hall and being able to get French fries at any point of any day and getting to have ice cream at 9:30 every night for 99 cents a scoop — let's' just say the freshman 15 is real. It is not just a myth.

3. Football Games

If you go to any football school, you know fall semester is all about the games. Every weekend is a game weekend. And who doesn't love football with all your friends (as well as tailgating with them for football games)?

4. Getting to have Family dinners

When I'm at school, I know I have a close group of friends and we consider ourselves like a family. We get on each other nerves, sometimes can't be around each other for more than three days, love each other unconditionally and most of all make fun of each other when ever we do something stupid. But we all come together once a blue moon and have dinner together, which is another exhausting experience all on its own — but we love it.

5. Having a set sleep schedule (for the most part)

Being home for the summer, I wake up at 12 noon and go to sleep around 4 a.m., which is terrible for me (I'm starting to feel the repercussions of it). But when I'm at school, I have to be up at 5:30 a.m., three times a week. It helps create a good sleep schedule for me because I'm usually passed out by 11 p.m. at the latest.

6. Having my girls around

At school, I have a handful of girls that I can rely on to hear all my BS; to have late night adventures; to go to the mall; to go get food with; to have movie nights; and have deep heart-to-heart conversations with when they are needed.

7. Getting to be on my own again

When I'm at school, I have a different independence then I do at home. I don't have to ask my mom for the car to go hang out with friends and I don't need to ask for money for food when I want to run to WaWa and I'm broke — I can just run to Port and get food whenever it's open along with walking to hang out with friends (if they're nice, they pick me up).

8. Getting to see my roommate beautiful face everyday

Not only is this girl my roommate, she's my best friend. And I can't wait to annoy the crap out of her everyday, along with just having her there in the same room as me.

9. Going back to school

Not taking summer classes made me feel like I lost some valuable information I should have remembered. But I'm excited to get back to going to classes and working hard to get my GPA up and do better — to the level I know I'm at, not where I was.

10. Just getting to go back Penn State

I think anyone who goes to Penn State can say that one of there reasons to go back to school is just to say they're back at Penn State. That they came back to this amazing school.

Last year, once I got to school and during the term, I missed being home and got a little home sick — but when you have two homes you never know which you miss more. I miss school now, but when I get there, I'm just going to want to be back home.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
